Adjacent to the alunite deposit. Approx 1.75 tons of opals.

Exploited from 1914-1919, although first mined in the Lydian period.

Fire opal has been extracted in the past from mines in Karamanca, east of the Simav, about 10 kilometers northwest from Şaphane (Kütahya).

GPS coordinates are for Şaphane mountain.
