Leary's Lament is a modern abandoned gold mine, operational from 2009 to 2012 by M.R.S Contracting. More information is needed for this location. The mine is accessed from the south passing various historic locations listed separately under Holleton, with the mine just over the top of the ridge at the end of the road. A pit and tailings heap remains. A smaller pit was also about 500 metres to the south-east and 100 metres east of the Calzoni historic location. Both areas have been 'landscaped', although no revegetation was undertaken.
