A Mn occurrence located in east-central sec. 10, T1S, R12W, in the Eagle Tail Mountains and Cemetery Ridge. NOTE: MRDS places this locality in the NE¼ sec. 12, T1S, R12W, on land of unknown status.
Mineralization is spotty pyrolusite and psilomelane mixed with jasper, calcite and quartz, in irregularly-spaced, lenticular bodies of stringers and veins in brecciated Cretaceous or Tertiary andesite flows and tuff, and in gneissic granodiorite intruded by granite.
