Asbestos deposit is "on the north side of the West Fork of Deer Creek. A serpentine lens 1,500 ft. by 500 ft. trends northeast. There are several smaller lenses; all are surrounded by granite. A small amount of amphibole asbestos, one chrysotile veinlet, 1/4-in. wide, and two vermiculite lenses have been reported." (Bull. 50, p. 8)
"Serpentine is in contact with granite pegmatite dikes; the border zones contain vermiculite up to 8 in. wide." (Bull. 50, p. 235)

Commodity: Former MAS record 0560090286 (newMRDS 10157676, merged and deleted) erroneously listed the commodity as pumice.
