A former Cr occurrence/mine located in the NW¼ sec. 29, T7N, R10E, MDM, 2.0 kmm (1.3 miles) WSW of Sugarloaf Peak (coordinates of record) and 2.2 km (1.4 miles) NNW of Rocky Point (coordinates of record), on private land. Owned by A.L. and R.A. Wait (1953). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include surface openings comprised of a number of open pits, the largest of which is 20 feet deep and 60 feet long.

Worked in 1916 and produced about 71 long tons of ore containing about 38% chromic oxide and 6 or 7% silica. Chromite float has been found at intervals southward from the mine for nearly a mile.
