A former lode Au mine located in the NW¼SW¼ sec. 32, T9N, R13E, MDM, 0.3 km (0.2 mile) N of Omo Ranch in the headwaters area of O'Connor Gulch, on private land. Property encompassed 60 acres. Operated by G. W. Mock (1926). Operated in 1896. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in granodiorite. The ore body strikes N and dips W at a thickness of 0.91 meters. The vein is 1½ to 3 feet thick and dips E at depth. Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range) and/or Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings with a length of 67.06 meters and comprised of a 150 foot adit and 64 foot shaft. A 125 foot flume with pole riffles was erected.
Analytical data results: 1% sulfides.
