A former lode Au mine located in the NW¼ (estimated) sec. 28 (property may lie partly in secs. 20 & 21), T2S, R17E, MDM, 2.0 km (6,700 feet) ESE of Greeley Hill (5¼ miles NE of Coulteville), on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is a quartz vein deposit hosted in slate and hornfels. The ore body is pinch and swell in form, strikes N20E and dips 65NW at a thickness of 0.91 meters. Vein matter consists of milky quartz with pyrite and wall rock inclusions. The vein is 1 to 3 feet thick. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).

Workings include underground openings comprised of 2 shafts, both caved, and a series of open cuts along the vein, which may represebnt caved stopes.

Idle in August, 1954. Mine unequipped.
