A W occurrence/group of claims located in the NW¼NE¼ sec. 6, T3S, R31E, MDM, 3.2 km (2.0 miles) NNW of Banner Ridge (coordinates of record), on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

NOTE: MRDS database file #10008604 contains a gross error and presents geographic coordinates which place this locality in Los Angeles County. The coordinates presented in the remaining 2 MRDS files are in close agreement and properly place it within the described area. MRDS file #10008604 also contains other discrepant and erroneous data regarding geological data and ascribes a list of alternate names to this locality (Granite; West Tower; Otey; Morris; Pine Tree; and Ameil) which are not in the immediate proximity to, or otherwise have no demonstrable connection with it, based on all the data available.

Mineralization is hosted in granodiorite, granite. Small scheelite-bearing tactite body in an inclusion about 50 feet in diameter in granodiorite. Small size of the deposit and the low-grade ore has discouraged exploitation. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
