A former Cu-Au-Al-magnesite occurrence/mine located in sec. 13, T15N, R6E, MDM, 4.1 km (2.6 miles) N of Spenceville, W of Hackett Creek and SE of Allenwood Hill. As of 1908 the property comprised 160 acres. Owned/operated by C. C. Bitner & Charles Staples (?) (1908- ). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in diabase. The ore body strikes N26W and dips easterly at a thickness of 18.29 meters. The shaft in front of the tunnel shows a 5 foot vein assaying 5 to 10% Cu. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings and comprised of a tunnel on the Mother Lode claim at 450 feet long. A 100 foot shaft was sunk S of the tunnel. A 65 foot shaft was sunk in front of the tunnel face (portal ?).

production information: The 60 foot vein on the Mother Lode claim showed 17½% Al oxides and 3% Mg. The same ore gave a recovery of 2½% or $78 (period values) in Mg. Good values of Cu & Au on other veins.
