A former lode Au occurrence/claim/mine located in the NW¼NE¼ sec. 17, T12N, R8E, MDM, 0.7 km (0.4 mile) WSW of Duncan Hill (coordinates of record) (on the lower W slope of the hill). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
