A zinc mine in mineralized Everton, Powell & Cotter Dolomites West of Fairview. Started during WWI and ceased operations in the 1920's.
Deposit: St. Joe fm. Is 30 feet above the mouth of the main shaft. The chert has solution cavities left by sphalerite crystals. Ore disposed to run in vertical streaks up to twenty inches wide. Shaft and ore bins were locked As the superintendent was away. Most information was gathered from persons familiar with the workings. ; info.src : 1 pub lit

Development: There was a steam crusher and hoist and one hand jig at these mines.

Geology: Sphalerite mostly in a slightly brecciated dark gray dolomite associated with calcite. This is a unique site As it is the first one described As having large 'veins' of sphalerite.
