A former lode Au mine located in secs. 12 & 13, T33N, R7W, MDM (section projected), 2.0 km (6,500 feet) S of Shirttail Peak (coordinates of record), and 4.1 km (2.6 miles) NE of French Creek, along JIC Gulch, a tributary of Cline Gulch. Property consists of 4 claims. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a gold-bearing vein in rocks of the Bragdon Formation (siltstone, shale, slate). The ore body is pinch and swell, strikes N60E and dips 60-75N at 1.22 meters thick. The quartz fissure vein is 8 inches to 4 feet thick. Local rocks include Carboniferous marine rocks, unit 4 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings with a length of 396.24 meters and an overall depth of 67.06 meters. They consist of a 1,000 foot adit, 300 feet of drifts and a 220 foot inclined shaft.
