A former placer Au-PGE (PT) mine located in secs. 28 & 29, T6N, R6E, HM, 0.2 km (700 feet) ENE of Hawkins Bar and 0.9 km (2,800 feet) SE of Trinity Village, along the Trinity River, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is a placer Au-PGE deposit (Deposit model: 119: Placer Au-PGE), hosted in Holocene gravels. The ore body is stream sediment deposits. ontrols for ore emplacement ionvolved stream hydraulics. Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).

Related tectonic structures include: Klamath Mountains Accreted Terrane.

Workings included surface operations over an area of 137.598 hectares.

Production data: Bench gravel with some Pt.
