A former lode Au mine located 5.8 km (3.6 miles) E of Hoosimbim Mountain, along Browns Creek (2 miles SW of Blanchard Flat School on the ridge to the W of Browns Creek). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in schist. The schist is described as green, chloritic, and some slaty. All of it is silicified. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 9 (Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include surface and underground openings. A cut 70 feet long and 3 feet deep was excavated 650 feet above the creek. A 65 foot tunnel is 100 feet below that. An adit, 50-60 feet above the creek, was driven at the 110 foot point.
Analytical data results: 19 samples averaged $3.53/ton in Au (period values).
