A volcanic cinder (pumice) deposit/quarry located in sec. 32, T8N, R6E, SBM, on Pisgah Crater. Owned & operated by the Santa Fe Railroad (100%) (1990). More recently, the crater is owned by Can-Cal Resources Limited (Canada). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
Local rocks include recent (Holocene) volcanic flow units, unit 4 (Mojave Desert).
Workings include unspecified surface openings. The mining operation reduced the height of the crater from 2,638 feet (804 meters) to 2,545 feet (776 meters).
