Structure: Hot Creek Range ; Reg.Trends: North Ne Trending Faults

Alteration: The Welded Tuff Is Argillized And Partly Silicified.

Tectonics: Basin And Range

Deposit: Depth to bottom unknown 1943

Deposit type: Hot-spring Hg

Development: Bulldozer trenching was done in 1957; diamond drill holes and shafts sunk in 1957-1960.

Geology: Flat - lying tertiary rhyolite flows and tuffs cut by a low - angle fault. ; geol.desc: mine below a fresh rhyolite flow.

Rock formation(s): Shingle Pass Tuff-Rhyolitic Ash-Flow Tuff
Shingle Pass Tuff Rhyolitic Ash-Flow Tuff


Ore(s): The Ore Is Located In A Discontinous, Easterly Trending, Gently South Dipping Shear Zone. Ore Is Along Hanging Wall Of The Fault.
