Comments:An essential rock-forming component in all zones of the pegmatite, mostly massive. Forms part of an attractive mix with lepidolite/cleavelandite/elbaite.
Crystals are very rare, Schooner (1958) and (1961) notes that cavities in albite occasionally yielded crystals up to six inches long.
Habit:massive, elongated prismatic
Colour:colorless, milky, lightly smoky
