Highly fractionated muscovite-albite granite, hosting an economic Ta-Sn mineralization. The granite occurs as an inclined sheet- to stock-like body of ellipsoidal shape with an outcrop area of about 400 m x 250 m and extends to a depth of at least 350 m. Rare element minerals occur as fine-grained disseminations throughout the entire granite body. Quartz veins in country rocks are mineralized with tin and minor tungsten.
The deposit will be mined from an open pit, scheduled to commence in 2010. Reserves are estimated at 10,000 tons of Ta2O5. In addition, it contains mineable tin resources and ceramic grade feldspar.
