Ørsdalen gruver, Bjerkreim, Rogaland, Norge
Discovered around 1900. Originally mined for molybdenite, but wolframite became very soon the most important ore. The mines were extensively worked under World War 1. The last mine was closed in 1950. Located ca. 5 km at the far end of Ørsdalsvannet. The most important mines are: Schånings Grube and Hovland Grube.
Apart from the Hovland mine and the Schånings mine, the LiDAR map shows mining features at:
58.67221,6.44191
58.67353,6.44041
58.67256,6.44164 (adit & tailings)
58.6728,6.4439 (adit & tailings)
At 58.67321,6.44331 there is a seemingly claimed property "15/43" that might be related to mining or the presence of ore.
