A steep mountain NE of Taseq Lake in the Ilímaussaq complex. Several pegmatite veins hosted in augite syenite are located near the top of the mountain.
The cotype specimen of sørensenite was found in hydrothermal veins in naujaite on the north-east slope of Mount Nakkaalaaq (Semenov et al. 1965)
