The whole rock is made up of chlorite crystals (a chlorite schist?), the side showing is polished with stick crystals protruding randomly. These stick crystals could be some sub-type of chlorite crystals, or cited by Magnus Vonsen, could be rutile crystals embedded in chlorite.
WVF-MMLZoisite (CaCa)(AlAlAl)O[Si2O7][SiO4](OH)
Syke Rock, State route 162, Longvale, Coastal Range, Mendocino County, California, USADimensions: 1 m x 1 m x 1 m
Field of View: 1 m
Largest Crystal Size: 1 feet

Zoisite crystals said to be up to 1 foot here, cited from Magnus Vonsen, large and radiating. This rock was on the ground, fallen from the larger Sykes Rock. Best to leave the crystals as they are (hard to chip out).
