Merionethshire
Minor workings about a mile west of Bontddu. First worked in 1895 and then sporadically and intermittently until 1950.
There are two separate lodes, an upper one at about 700ft above sea level on the side of the hill of Y Vigra, and a second, lower one, near the cottage of Graigwen. Two adits were driven on the upper lode, but only a small excavation on the lower lode.
Chalcopyrite, galena, pyrite and pyrrhotite are the chief ore minerals. Although there is no official recorded gold output, the owner in 1950 offered to provide the gold for Princess Elizabeth's wedding ring.
