This is the PURPORTED locality for gold nuggets, more or less rounded, in some cases associated with quartz, found with metal detectors, and sold in the mineral specimen market in Spain in recent years. The heterogeneity of specimens in their degree of wear, and also their different chemical compositions indicates that they may in fact come from different places.
