Small Triassic diapir inside the calcareous Bathonian. A quarry was open in 1945-1947.

"(Coming from Serres). South of this city on the N75 [currently the D1075]. Turn left onto the D21. At the intersection, turn right towards Les Clavelas. In the Chaune valley after 300 m, there is an old quarry with baryte, celestine, and gypsum." [Belot, 1978]
