These were new developments in 1873, located in the NE. 1/4 of section 10, township 45N, 15W. Schmidt describes the galena as occurring in veins in magnesian limestone 1/4 to 2 1/2, ins. thick, with a N.-S. course. It had been traced 750 ft. up the slope. Another similar vein was found running parallel to the first and about 75 ft. east of it. Masses or slabs of galena were found in the surface clays also.
