Lancenieki Dolomite Quarry is a Late Devonian (Daugava, Salaspils suite) dolomite deposit located near Lancienieki village and Ķemeri National Park territory (Tukums Municipality). It's a small and young quarry for the extraction of crushed dolomite for road building. Based on satellite data, this quarry was active since 2015 and continues mining today.

Quarry dolomite rocks of the Daugava formation like limestone have a similar appearance - it is light and has a slightly chalky structure. Very often, the upper layers in the quarry have small single karst cavities, sometimes filled with small calcite geodes (the size of which does not exceed one centimeter). Also in the dolomite layers that are slightly lower relatively big cavities of different shapes are found, which are covered by layers of small calcite crystals that have a bright lustre under sunlight.

In the quarry (in the Daugava formation dolomite rocks) one can find attractive druzes of yellow and white calcite, the crystals have a fine-crystalline appearance, so under the sunlight, the specimens have a "sugar" effect. Also in the quarry, one can find thin gypsum layers of the Salaspils formation, which covers dolomite. In these layers one сan find orange satin-spar gypsum and blue celestine inclusions in it.
