A deposit located in sec. 16, T9N, R15½E, G&SRM, 1.5 km (0.9 mile) NNE of The Pyramids (summit) (coordinates of record). This locality is not listed in the USGS MRDS database as a separate file; however, it is mentioned as an alternate for the Apache Iron deposit in USGS MRDS database file #10161818.

This deposit crops out in Canyon Creek and can be traced NE along Swamp Creek Mountain for more than 12,000 feet.

This unit includes the Grand Canyon Supergroup, Apache Group, and Troy Quartzite. These rocks were deposited in shallow marine, coastal nonmarine, and fluvial settings. (700-1300)
