A former lode Au-Ag-Pb-Cu-W mine located in the middle of the SW¼ sec. 33, T3S, R31E, MDM, 6.2 km (3.8 miles) S of Banner Ridge (coordinates of record), on the eastern margin of Chidago Canyon, on National Forest land. This property consisted of 25 claims. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.

NOTE per MRDS file: Tucker & Sampson (1940) p. 133 and Pl. 1 locate this mine in T3S, R31E, Sec. 5. Later sources; however, such as Goodwin (1957) and Eric (1948) place it in T4S, R31E, Sec. 21. Rinehart & Ross (1956) put the claims back in T3S, R31E, Sec. 33.

Mineralization is hosted in hornfels, diorite & rhyolite. The ore body(ies) strike N10W - N45W and dip 40SW at a thickness of 4.57 meters. There are 3 parallel veins (shear zones), 5 to 15 feet thick. The shear zones are filled with breccia. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 3 (Eastern Sierra Nevada).

Local structures include faults.

Workings include underground openings comprised of 5 adits, from 200 to 500 feet in length, plus 2 shafts. Detailed descriptions of the workings are found in Tucker & Sampson (1940), and in Rinehart & Ross (1956), figure 3, p. 15.

Production data are found in: Goodwin (1957).

Production information: No other production record found.

Cmmodity information: The ore contained 2% combined Pb & Cu. Early assays estimated 0.5 ounces Au/ton.
