A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in secs. 9, 15 & in the NE¼NE¼ sec. 16 (estimated), T17N, R9E, MDM, about 4.2 km SW of Lake City, along the N side of the South Yuba River, just downstream from its confluence with Kenebec Creek & upstream from Edwards Crossing Bridge (2 miles SSE of North Columbia). The property comprises 8 claims. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit with veins at 2 and 4 to 6 feet thick. The ore body is 1.83 meters thick. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains) and/or Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 6 (Northwestern Sierra Nevada).

Workings include underground openings with a length of 108.2 meters and an overall depth of 16.76 meters and comprised of a shaft, adit and minor workings.

Less than $2,000 (period values) of production.
