A former lode Cu occurrence/mine located in secs. 12 & 13, T15N, R6E, MDM, 5.1 km (3.2 miles) NNE of Spenceville, ESE of Allenwood Hill. Owned/operated by Charles Staples (1941- ). MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in diabase. The ore body is lenticular in form, strikes N26W and dips E at a thickness of 2.44 meters. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 240 foot shaft.
Ore was shipped as early as 1876. No production values are available.
