A gypsum/anhydrite-Sr-halite occurrence located in sec. 27, T18N, R5E, SBM, 2.4 km (1.5 miles) WNW of Sheep Creek Spring (coordinates of record), N of Cottonwood Spring, along the NE slope of the mountains. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in lake sediments, sandstone, conglomerate, Pliocene clay and mud. Local rocks include Tertiary nonmarine rocks, undivided and/or Pliocene to Holocene Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.

Local geologic structures include Late Cenozoic faults.

Workings include unspecified surface openings.
