Name:
Named in accordance with the naming rules accepted for the autunite group as the hydrated analogue of metarauchite (which was named first). Metarauchite was in turn named in honor of Luděk Rauch (1 July 1951 - 5 December 1983, Jáchymov, Czech Republic), a Czech mineral collector who died trgically in the Jáchymov mines while collecting.
