Andersen (1931) describes 3 feldspar localities: Rød I (Rødshammeren), II (Østre Rød) and III.

On modern maps there are two farms by that name, about 470 m apart. It is basically certain that Andersen means the farm in the north. His desciption of Rød III leaves no room for other interpretations.

However, Andersen's locality description of Rød I is not easy to interprete.

The coordinates given here are for a spot about in the middle of these two farms.

Considering the age of these quarries, nothing can be expected to be seen on aerial pictures.

The altitude map shows features that might be quarries, but just as well might they be natural features.

All these localities need field confirmation.

The NGU has registered Rød as
