Located 27 kilometres north north-west of Norseman, on the eastern flank of the Pioneer Dome.
Explored by Newmont/NGM joint venture from 1968-1971.
Ni-Cu sulphides at the base of serpentinized ultramafics, with basal metadunite, overlain by serpenitinized peridotite, then metapyroxenite. Foliated hornblende-plagioclase amphibolite up to 500 metres thick, lenticular ultramafic units up to 200 metres thick, pelitic schist, actinolite-chlorite schist is mentioned in another source
There is a northern and southern prospect. The northern prospect is called JH, at or near the basal contact. It contains two lenses, the first is 115 metres long, up to 6 metres thick, dipping 40 degrees east. The second is 60 metres long, and 1.6 metres thick. They are intruded by quartz-feldspar pegmatites.
The southern prospect is called BB (what the acronyms stand for is open to speculation), with irregular lenses, veins and stringers of marcasite after pyrrhotite, violarite after pentlandite, chalcopyrite as supergene mineralisation. Oxidation reaches 40 metres below the surface. Nickel grade is 1.1% Ni. The prospects are 1.5 kilometres apart, north-south.
The area has been explored for rare earths in pegmatites.
Location is near the Twenty Five Mile Rocks, in close proximity to the Norseman-Coolgardie Highway.
