The Myshik-Kol polymetallic deposit, located ca. 6 km east of the Tashbulak deposit, was discovered in 1940 and consists of three groups of ore bodies related to three tectonic blocks: the Eastern, Central and Western blocks. The faults controlling the skarn-ore mineralization in the deposit are normally south-trending, rarely northeast-trending.

The economically exploitable ore mineralisation mainly coincides with skarns, which are found at the contact of limestones with granodiorite porphyry and granite porphyry, and also with effusives and porphyritic dykes. The main ore concentrations are related to garnet-pyroxene skarns.
