This attractive specimen was mined during summer 2021 in block 208-8 at the Aappaluttoq ruby mine in Greenland.
It hosts a group of small deep red ruby crystals associated with a light blue mineral that are believed to be cordierite (but could be also sapphirine, to be confirmed), white feldspar, brown mica and amphibole.

This is a very nice piece of fibrous rubellite from the Molo quarter. The stone color is an attractive purplish red and the crystal shows a very nice and delicate fibrous structure. The fibers combine following a trigonal pattern.
