An old manganese mine, started in 1894 and abandoned around 1900. It worked a deposit of manganese oxides which occurs along the boundary between Zechstein dolomite and overlying sandstone. The workings were located on the steep west slope of Stutz mountain, immediately above the Georg Mine.
