A small tin mine, located on the western margin of the Carnmenellis Granite and within the Civil Parish of Crowan. The mine is located at around 150 metres above sea level. The chimney stack survives as a prominent landmark overlooking the village of Nancegollan. The engine house, which featured an unusual arched bob wall finally collapsed sometime in the 1960's. Some dumps are still present on the mine.

The mine worked three lodes, these being known as Main Lode, North Tin Lode and South Tin Lode. The mine reached a depth of 100 fathoms prior to being abandoned in around 1890. Production figures appear to be incomplete, but a production of 102 tons of black tin is recorded between 1884 and 1890.

In recent years the dumps have yielded specimens of cassiterite as small crystals and thin veinlets in a granitic matrix and small brown wood tins.
