The lessees of the South Kooline Mine were Francis Gray and Hap Herrick, who were also carting ore from the Big Chief Mine. Operational around 1948 to 1959.
The mine is located 0.6 kilometres north of the Gift mine. The reef dips steeply south of quartz with galena, and barite, the veins up to 60 metres long. The mine produced 61 tonnes of lead and 18,537 grams silver.
