The specimens described here are from Walker’s ‘Garnetiferous chalk’ locality, which is adjacent to a 4 m wide dolerite dyke on the mainland opposite the Isle of Muck. The dyke is exposed on the rocky shore in the intertidal
zone at the southern margin of a storm beach just south of the tombolo which connects the Isle of Muck to the Islandmagee peninsula. The locality is at Ulster Grid reference D 3463 4021.
