A former underground Ag-Au-Cu-Pb mine located on the headwaters of Slate Creek and about Β½ mile East of the Blue Dick Mine at an altitude of 6,300 feet. Produced 1883-1922.
Mineralization is a 5 foot wide vein in greenstone schist. Ore control was faulting and shearing. Ore concentration was oxidation at near-surface. No alteration noted.
Area structures include dikes and veins that parallel foliation in Precambrian rocks that trends N10W to N15E.
Workings include a 420 foot deep shaft. Production was about $440,000 (period values) at a yield of $1,000 to $1,500 ton/ore.
