A former U-V occurrence/mine located in approximate secs. 27 & 34, T41N, R23E, G&SRM, 5.3 km (3.3 miles) S of Yazzi Mesa (coordinates of record) and 4.75 miles NW of Dimmehotso.
Mineralization is tyuyamunite and carnotite in lenticular ore pods hosted in Late Triassic sandstone of the Shinarump Member Of Chinle Formation. Deposits occur in the bottom of a paleostream channel, usually with carbonaceous debris. Local rocks include rocks of the Chinle Formation.
Workings include surface openings comprised of a pit.
Production was 1,990 tons of ore @ 0.23% U3O8; 1.23% V2O5 (1954-1955).
