A former lode Au mine located in the N½ (?) sec. 17, T5S, R17E, MDM, 3.3 km (2.0 miles) SW of Pendola Gardens (¼ mile N of Mount Bullion-Hornitos Road; 6 miles W of Mount Bullion). Discovered prior to 1900. Operated during the periods 1900 to 1905, 1908 to 1911, and 1914 to 1915. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. May be on the Indian Gulch (1962) 15 minute quadrangle topo map. UTM measured on prospect in the NE¼ sec. 17 or the NW¼ sec. 16. Latitude-longitude values calculated from township, range, section.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in Late Jurassic slate. The ore body strikes N85W and dipd 65SW at a thickness of 0.61 meters. The wall rocks are Upper Jurassic Mariposa Formation. Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include surface and underground openings with a length of 956.16 meters and an overall depth of 125.88 meters. InN 1920, workings were a 413 foot inclined shaft with 4 levels and an adit 263 feet long, plus 2,471 feet of drifts, raises and stopes. No surface workings are described.

Production data are found in: Bowen, O.E., Jr. & C.H. Gray, Jr. (1957).
