A former Au-Pb occurrence/mine located in the E½SE¼ sec. 25, T14N, R9E, MDM, about 4.3 km (about 3 miles) E of Weimar, on the eastern slope of Big John Hill, W of the North Fork American River. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated. Adjoins the Long Point Mine to the S.
Mineralization is hosted in slate. The ore body strikes N and dips 45E at a thickness of 36.58 meters. The dike is 120 feet thick. Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include surface and underground openings with a length of 266.7 meters and comprised of an open cut and a tunnel (adit ??).
