A former lode Au-Pb occurrence/mine located in the W½NE¼ (estimated) sec. 5, T15N, R13E, MDM, 2.0 km (1.2 miles) NNW of Canada Hill (coordinates of record), E of Tadpole Creek (5 miles ENE of Westville), on private land within a National Forest area. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. Located on the SE side of the Gold Dike No. 1.

Mineralization is hosted in quartzite, slate and greenstone. The ore body is generally lenticular, pinch & swell in form, strikes N and dips 58W at a thickness of 0.91 meter. The vein averages 18 inches thick. Local geologic structures include dikes. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).

Workings include underground openings with a length of 204.22 meters and an overall depth of 32.92 meters and comprised of a shaft and drifts.

Production data is found in: Goodwin, Joseph Grant (1957); Logan, Clarence August (1936).
