A former underground Ag-Cu-Au-Pb-As mine. Discovered by Charles Champie in 1886. Produced 1890-1939. Claims extend into the WΒ½WΒ½EΒΌ of sec. 7.

Mineralization is a vein deposit with a tabular ore body. Ore control was faulting and shearing. Ore concentration was oxidation at near surface. Alteration was sericitization adjacent to some dikes. An associated rock unit is the Crazy Basin Quartz Monzonite and rhyolite porphyry dikes.

Area structures include veins parallel to rhyolite porphyry dikes and foliation in Precambrian xenoliths (quartz-mica schist) that trends N40-50E.
