Davidite-(Ce)Tuftane Quarry, Frikstad, Iveland, Aust-Agder, Norway
Tuftane bruddet (Frikstad 3; Tuftan; Tuptane)
A granite pegmatite dyke situated in the northern part of the Iveland pegmatite district on the Frikstad Farm land about 700m W of Nedre Frikstad. It was first started as small feldspar quarry, later it was also worked for rare minerals (
thorveitite,
gadolinite-(Y) and
euxenite-(Y) ). The dyke strikes about NW and is more than 100 m long.
