This epidote crystal was trapped within calcite. The calcite was dissolved by muriatic acid to expose the crystal. Self Collected at lower gulch.

Rare pseudomorph. It was originally a pyroxene crystal of some kind but has been replaced with Hematite and has a later generation of quartz crystal coating. This specimen is terminated with another terminated head perched along side.
