Lagoa do Gambá
"Around Lagoa do Gamba and Morro do Cruzeiro in the Ouro Preto section ore supplies [of bauxite] amount to about 2,000,000 tons." (Brazilian Bulletin, 1944)
In February 2019 the lake was contaminated due to a blocked sewage pipe; oxygen levels in the lake dropped to 0.5%, killing ca. 120 kg of fish.
