Almandine garnet alluvial sand deposit. Located north of Hutt Lagoon, and a few kilometres north of the established Port Gregory (GMA) garnet mine. Owned by Haddington Resources, then Altura Mining, before being sold to Singapore based GMA Pty Ltd in 2013 for 4.5 million (Australian).
The prospect covers three deposits, from the north, Balline North, Balline South, and Menari. The product is used in sand blasting and water jet cleaning applications.
JORC resource stands at 226.9 MT at 3.7 HM. 76.8% garnet. Expected mine life 20 years, producing 150 000 tonnes per annum.
